Lots of very interesting learning this week ... but "way up north" so off topic for the forum really. Would members like me to post in "How Stuff Works" for our "Transport Scholars" (that's a board for members who have asked to be added to the deeper discussions) on my experiences as I go along? Way out of area, so would hardly be fair as a significant quiz! Where's Monty Don when you need him? Someone told them on 32nd March that rocks are just like plants but don't need trimming back every year ...
