11:11 Bristol Temple Meads to Taunton due 12:13
11:11 Bristol Temple Meads to Taunton due 12:13 will be starting late from Bristol Temple Meads.
This is due to this train being late from the depot.

Just look at the service departure time, the Last Updated time and the time of this post, makes you wonder who are being paid to perform such an uninformative service because as I read it ths stock HAS ALREADY arrived at Bristol Temple Meads being late on that section of the diagram which was completed BEFORE 05:30 and now requires over 5 1/2 hours to prep the stock for its 11.11 departure from Temple Meads to Taunton.

If forum member Mark Hopwood is reading this take note that this is only one aspect that heaps ridicule on FGW.

I don't think so - "being late" isn't any kind of past tense, it can apply to the future as well. For example, "I've promised to spend next Saturday going round the shops...". As to what that one train being "late" might be due to - I guess it may be linked to inflexible handover schedules, for one thing. But I wonder whether it's really a train that won't be delivered, and the delay is until the next one is due. But a lot of other things may be involved that we just don't know about.
