Real time trains "looses" diverted trans over alternative routes ... and from that I have no idea about the path it took / progress from Westbury to Reading. It would be an amazing stoke of luck if what had become an extra train on that line at a "random" time didn't suffer bathing / signalling checks. Title: Re: The cost of diversion via Melksham ... And unless I'm mistaken, 1A18 which came up through Corsham and passed Thingley ahead of diverted 1A82 will have caused a signal check (at least) to the diverted train while it carries out Chippenham station duties.
