Title: Free car parking at GWR managed Stations
Post by: grahame on August 18, 2019, 07:33:15
This sign has just appeared at Melksham Station's car parking area beside the station gate (at the end of the car park away from the gate ... have to walk down to read it ...

Previously (not sure if it has been removed) there was just a sign that said "Free Parking for Station Users".

Questions abound - not only Melksham but odd spaces at places like Avoncliff and other of the really small stations peppered across the South West - where there's a parking space or two and no charge, what's the situation.

Reading the sign, I'm now made aware I may be charged £100 by APCOA if I park over a line ... previously, I was unaware I had a contract with them ... did I?

Not GWR territory, but also noticed a free car parking sign at Bosham station (pronounced with a Z, unlike the hapless station announcer at Havant??).
