Title: Strange Fare Differences to North Wales Post by: Celestial on September 10, 2019, 10:30:18 Researching a possible trip to North Wales I've discovered the following anomaly. Using anytime single fares, to Conway:-
Newport £78.40 STJ £78.40 Patchway £52.80 B T Meads£52.80 with the last two being via a change at Newport. Is there anything to stop me buying a ticket from Patchway (or even Pilning, and then saying I had to start from STJ as there are no trains from Pilning!) to get the cheaper ticket? But I doubt yuou'll get asked.
