Channel 5 has handed out renewals to Around The World By Train With Tony Robinson and Britain’s Lost Railways. Both series will return for six episode second seasons.

Around The World By Train With Tony Robinson follows Robinson on a whirlwind journey, jumping on and off trains as he makes his way around the globe. The series is produced by Rumpus Media and Motion Content Group. The executive producers are Fintan Maguire, Chris Parkin and Martin Oxley.

In the show’s second season, Tony will star his journey in London, travel down through southern Europe, continuing from South America (Argentina, Chile and Peru), up through North America (Mexico, U.S.A., Canada), travelling across Siberia before heading back through Europe. Along the way, he will disembark to experience places and local customs that fascinate him the most.

Britain’s Lost Railways follows Rob Bell as he explores old railway lines around the country. The series is produced by Rumpus Media and Motion Content Group. The executive producers are Fintan Maguire and Owen Rudd for Rumpus Media and Melanie Darlaston for Motion Content Group. TCB Rights handles global sales.

In the second season, Rob will explore the old railway lines around the country, from Great Yarmouth to Bangor and right up to Aberdeen. “I’m absolutely thrilled to have gone out to explore more of Britain’s Lost Railways”, he said. “It’s such a fantastic reminder of the depth of history, industry and landscapes we have here in the UK. And even now, after two series, I know I’ve only scratched the surface.”
