I am rarely one to make a significant move without very careful consideration. You are correct in your implied suggestion that a period significantly shorter than 3 years (1 year in my case) is rather short to make a mark. Next AGM will be Spring 2021; constitution and law allow it. The annual conference (scheduled for the autumn) is no longer happening as a physical meeting - logic being that members and guest speakers may [still] be nervous about travelling, and there could be lots of clashes as everyone tries to fit in their meetings. I understand that Railfuture are looking at online meeting options for the autumn.
