A proper train, not an urban tram, runs along a very narrow street.
The track is used as a public open space, and everyone moves when they hear the train hooter.
Looks horribly dangerous even by the relaxed standards common in some places.
Clearances to lineside structures look minimal.
Has become a tourist attraction, which no doubt adds to the risks, TPTB are trying to close the cafes.
Must be nerve wracking for the driver.

Are the carriages fitted with dump toilets I wonder ? If so, that would put me of eating at any of the places that use the track as seating space.
Could not see any waste on the track. Perhaps the passengers are well trained "do not flush when passing through a built up area"

It went through faster than I would have expected. I have seen film of something similar in West Africa, I think it was Mali, where the train runs through a market. And more unexpectedly, Switzerland, where it obviously runs to Swiss standards!

"Please do not flush while the train is standing outside a café" - that sort of thing? I'm sort of half-planning a trip to Hanoi next year. I may put it on the list. I shall certainly carry antibiotics.

According to something I read, there's little or no differentiation between various types of rail line - train and tram in Switzerland, which might provide some explanation of that unexpected news.
