Title: Paignton -Exmouth is a new timetable joke
Post by: REVUpminster on November 15, 2019, 16:43:24
Passengers want to get to Exeter Central.

This joke of a time table holds them for up to 17 (1039 ex Paignton) minutes in Dawlish Warren, or up to 11 minutes at Exeter St David's.  The all stopper is as quick as the non-stopper because the non stopper has to be held somewhere for a path down to Exmouth. It is still often better as now to get the London train or XC and change at St David's for the Barnstaple train to Exeter Central.

The fastest train I have found is the 7.20 arrives Exeter Central at 8.20 the rest take 65-70 minutes.

The 20.03 ex Paignton is held at Newton Abbot for 19 minutes to allow the 20.18XC ex Paignton to pass.
