Title: Greggs' only Cornwall store closed
Post by: stuving on January 15, 2020, 16:57:25
I'm surprised no-one's picked up this earth-shattering news yet - it even made today's Times - this from PlymouthLive (https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/news/plymouth-news/greggs-only-cornwall-store-closed-3735601):

Greggs' only Cornwall store closed months ago and no one noticed
ByCharlotte Becquart

The bakery at Carkeel Roundabout, Saltash, quietly opened in September 2018.

At the time, people in the area said it opened to 'no fanfare' and after two weeks of trading it still didn't appear on Greggs' website store locator section.

Until then Greggs had never ventured into the the Cornish Pasty's homeland.

And now it has been confirmed that the store closed four months ago, just as quietly as it opened.

Gregg's only Nailsea store also closed

They opened a few years ago, but then closed last summer for something like 6 months for a complete rebuild of the premises.  Then, when they re-opened, a couple of months ago, they promptly had to close down again because one of their staff returning from holiday abroad was diagnosed with Covid-19.  They are still closed.  ::)

Yes, our prayers have been answered and Greggs are sharing a series of videos of how to make your favourite Greggs treats at home. Ready, set, (steak) bake.
