Post by: JayMac on March 08, 2020, 16:38:24
This may be of interest to folk looking for something to do on Saturday 14th March 2020.

Stalbridge History Society are hosting a talk by Professor Colin Divall, former Head of the Institute of Railway Studies & Transport at York University/National Railway Museum.

The topic of the illustrated talk is the politics surrounding the closure of the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway between 1951 - 1967.

The location is the Congregational Church Hall, Station Road, Stalbridge. Doors open at 1030, talk starts at 1100.

Had I not already made plans for that day I would have attended.
