Still seems an odd thing to steal, not that expensive, worth very little for scrap metal, limited alternative uses. Possibly removed by mistake ? Contractors went to the wrong station ? someone in an office sent the order out wrongly ? I recall years ago a considerable quantity of railway equipment being delivered to Nunhead station in south east London. It should have been sent to Nuneaton !
