Been use beyond trains.

From WikiPedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piasecki_H-21)

Quote
The Piasecki H-21 Workhorse/Shawnee is an American helicopter, the fourth of a line of tandem rotor helicopters designed and built by Piasecki Helicopter (later Boeing Vertol). Commonly called "the flying banana", it was a multi-mission helicopter, utilizing wheels, skis, or floats.

From This is why I'm broke (https://www.thisiswhyimbroke.com/uk/flying-banana-boat/)

Quote
Experience the adrenaline rush of a lifetime by turning yourself into a kite using the flying banana boat. This immensely fun inflatable is large enough to accommodate up to five people at once, allowing you to take to the skies as the towing boat speeds up.

and from the East Norfolk Bus Blog (https://eastnorfolkbus.blogspot.com/2012/04/flying-banana-to-return.html)

Quote
The beginning of the month coincides with the news that the Flying Banana name could soon return to the town.

The original Flying Banana bus service started in the town in late 1990's with the purpose of providing a connection between Gorleston's Shrublands Estate and Great Yarmouth - then unserved by a bus link.

With First's current services through the estate currently being gradually reduced due to Government funding cuts, it has emerged that a community bus scheme could be established utilising vehicles presently out of use during the off peak periods.

The scheme, to be funded under the European AFOOL programme, will allow the as yet undisclosed bus company to train up volunteers to operate the service. A similar scheme already operates in South Wales.

Of course, some of the above are more serious than others!

Nice photo. In Reading it can be difficult not to see Red Kites. They have spread well since the re-introduction in the Chilterns.

Yesterday on a roof near home I saw six magpies. Haven't seen any gold. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_for_Sorrow_(nursery_rhyme) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_for_Sorrow_(nursery_rhyme))

Excellent picture of a buzzard.  The markings are very clear.
