Post by: martyjon on July 09, 2020, 12:23:08 I assume West Bristol Capacity refers to Henbury as the site of Henbury station is in the Bristol West constituency although myself I would define the area more appropriately as North Bristol Capacity OR it could refer to the proposal to build a station to serve the arenal / reopen Filton North but in any case an arenal station could more appropriately be referred to as Bristol North Capacity in the context of the stated article.
In any event a station provided to serve the arenal would most likely be required to be funded by the developers of the arsenal and if I were asked to give it a name I would name the station Bristol Brabazon of which Brabazon is the name of the adjacent housing development. Can any forum member like me recall seeing the airliner Bristol Brabazon in the skies over Bristol in bygone days ? Title: Re: Four new stations...
