Title: keeping up appearances location
Post by: infoman on July 21, 2020, 09:11:42
Its the one with the commodore(Nigel Davenport)1993?
Its some where on the western region as HST's seen and NOT the Southern(no third rail seen?)
It has four tracks through the station with one of them running into another track to cross a bridge.

Think it might be Leamington Spa.  A lot of the filming was done in and around the town.

Thank you
I presume it must have been a cross country set? or were cross country sets the same a london sets?
With two first class coaches in the set until privatisation came along and cross country sets only had one first class coach in the set.
Unless the sets got out of step and it ended with two first class coaches in a cross coutry set.
Oh for the days of inter city trains

I've made a trio of screenshots from the episode. The first one should confirm the location as Leamington Spa. Note how the HST magically morphs into a 47 on Mk2s for one camera shot. ;)
