Title: Consultations - Do you take part?
Post by: CyclingSid on September 02, 2020, 09:32:20
Doing a scan of the DfT web site, I was thinking there are a lot of consultations about:

https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/managing-pavement-parking (https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/managing-pavement-parking)

https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/review-of-the-highway-code-to-improve-road-safety-for-cyclists-pedestrians-and-horse-riders (https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/review-of-the-highway-code-to-improve-road-safety-for-cyclists-pedestrians-and-horse-riders)

https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/taxi-and-private-hire-vehicle-licensing-protecting-users (https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/taxi-and-private-hire-vehicle-licensing-protecting-users) Concluded.

https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/roads-policing-review-future-methods-to-improve-safety-and-reduce-causalities (https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/roads-policing-review-future-methods-to-improve-safety-and-reduce-causalities)

and others on TfL/GLA and various Local Authority web sites.

Do you take part? I did the Highway Code one, but that is rare.

On cycling projects it is said there are 6 people who agree for every one person who objects (and it is the objectors that get listened to?), should we be getting involved more?
