The Better Bath Forum will meet on Tuesday to discuss the city's traffic and pollution problems (link below.)

The opening speakers will be David Trigwell, who is Bath and North East Somerset Council's director of planning and transportation, Patrick Rotheram of the Federation of Bath Residents' Associations, and Eric Snook from the Bath Independent Group, which supports independent traders in the city.

Mr Trigwell is expected to outline future options including a congestion charge in Bath.

Proposals will be posted on the website, www.betterbath.org.uk 

The meeting will be held at St Michael's Church in Broad Street from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Mr Trigwell said transport issues such as rail capacity, junction queuing and inner city congestion were too big for any one local authority to tackle and must be dealt with on a sub-regional level with funding from central Government.
