Transport for Wales has had to cancel services this week due to "resource issues" as staff have been affected by Covid-19.

On Wednesday some services between Pontypridd and Cardiff were cancelled, as well as some in Llandudno.

Then on Thursday commuters saw some services travelling to and from Llandudno, as well as some Wrexham services face cancellation.

It was said this was due to "resource availability."

Earlier this week it was reported that Transport for Wales asked staff members to immediately turn off the NHS contact tracing app because it doesn't want to send them home to self-isolate.

The transport firm demanded the affected workers disable the NHS Track, Trace and Protect app while at work after a number of staff had been contacted by the app.

The decision was made in response to a number of "false alerts" among TfW colleagues which had "impacted operational resources".
