From the 1st March 2021, Stagecoach West will be running Calne Town bus services 40 & 43 and service 42 between Calne & Marlborough (formerly run by Swindon's Buses. They will also start running School services 642 & 842 and a Saturday evening journey on 33.

Faresaver will be running the Devizes Town bus services from the 1st March 2021. This includes services 1, 1A, 1C, 1D, 49A, X49 and 85.

Thanks for that, Bobm. Devizes has a surprisingly high proportion of households without cars (and goodness knows how many without cars to meet parallel requirements of household members) and the 1A at least is (or was when Dad used it once walking into town became too much) a much loved service.

The Devizes Spider Bus map at https://www.devizes.org.uk/files/maps/Devizes-Bus-Spider-Map.pdf helps to give an idea of the complex services in and around the town - though this edition becomes less accurate with the passing of time and an updated version is perhaps due. The Devizes Spider Bus map is interesting. The Lavingtons almost look like a transport hub at the top of Salisbury Plain.
