The market, at Crown Glass Place, will be officially launched by Nailsea Town Council chairman Councillor Mary Ponsonby on May 17. The market, which will operate on the third Saturday of each month from 9am-1pm, will feature stalls selling a wide range of products including meat, fish, vegetables, pickles, home made cakes and speciality cheeses.

There will also be stalls from local charities, fresh crepes, and egg and bacon baguettes (yes please  ;D) on sale.

The launch of the market has been long awaited and organised by Nailsea Town Council in partnership with the owners of the town centre Halladale Ltd, North Somerset Council and the Taste of North Somerset (Tons) group as well as local producers.

It is hoped that the market will attract more people to the town and boost trade for local shopkeepers.

The market will feature around 15 stalls and shoppers will be entertained with live music.
