Post by: grahame on July 01, 2021, 11:11:56
At The Swan in Bradford-on-Avon on March 8th March 2022 - Annual General Meeting in real life (we REALLY hope) of the West Wilts Rail User Group.

For the year until that date, your committee is:
Richard Cowell (Chair)
John Baxter (Secretary)
Rob Brown (Treasurer and Membership Secretary)
Mike Sutton (Publicity Officer)
and Rosemary Buchan, Graham Ellis, Horace Prickett and Ruth Vincent
There are now home station representatives for all West Wilts Stations except Avoncliff, and the committee is addressing that

Excellent AGM - though one or two hurdles to overcome.  A smaller room than it should have been in the end, and we certainly weren't rattling around.  Good humoured AGM, brief campaign and forward looking update (thanks to GWR for updates last week and yesterday). Concern at some of the changes, limited nature of proposals and their vagueness.    Followed by a talk by John Baxter on the restored / heritage Somerset and Dorset at Midsomer Norton.

Personal journeys:

* From home at 17:50. 18:05 bus to Bradford-on-Avon, there around 18:20; seated i the chippy by 18:30 - on to meeting just afterwards

* From Bradford-on-Avon meeting at 21:30. 21:58 by train (after meeting concluded 21:30). Changed to Bus at Bath, left  at 23:15, Melksham Town Centre at 23:55, home at Midnight.

Home to destination - 40 minutes
Destination to home - 150 minutes
