Following the success of the RAIL Williams-Shapps Plan for Rail webinar on May 27th, to which more than 2,400 people registered, RAIL is launching a spin-off series of webinars to delve into the detail of the White Paper and to explore the many questions and considerations that remain.

RAIL is working closely with The Great British Railways Transition Team on the series to bring the latest updates on progress since publication of the White Paper. GBRTT is being led by Network Rail Chief Executive Andrew Haines, who was asked by Government to consider interim arrangements for the railway following publication of the Williams-Shapps Plan for Rail.

Across a series of five events, we will break the White Paper down into bite-size chunks based on the commitments made in the paper. Each event will be hosted by RAIL Managing Editor Nigel Harris, who will be joined on the virtual sofa by key individuals from the railway to discuss these important topics…

The first event on July 27th is on Unleashing private sector potential, where the panel will discuss topics including:
 
Enabling freight’s success
Private sector investment
Train leasing in the future
Infrastructure partners

Andy Bagnall, Rail Delivery Group and Paul McLaughlin, RSSB will also be joining the panel to bring insight and expertise to the discussion.

The whole panel will take questions from the virtual audience during the webinar, so this is your opportunity to ask your burning questions of the people right at the centre of rail reform.
