Title: London Cocktails
Post by: Red Squirrel on August 25, 2021, 10:35:12
After a visit to the London Transport Museum the other day, my family and I were quite tired. We sat down in the cafe for a well-earned break and perused the menu, and since the sun was over the yardarm I found myself unable to resist ordering a 'Routemaster' cocktail. It was very well-made and, though perhaps a bit pricey, lasted me longer than two cheaper drinks and left me feeling that I got quite a good deal.

My wife, not to be outdone, ordered an 'Elizabeth Line'. It arrived after the rest of us had finished our food and drinks, and the waiter had to ask her for an additional £3.50 before he could deliver it due an unforeseen rise in the cost of ingredients and some other problems we didn't quite understand concerning the compatibility of the pea flower with the ginger beer.
