I would be very interested in members thoughts ... appreciating that some members (myself included) are now in the category of "am I still safe on that" and others are too fit and able to even think of electric mobility devices!

I did try a C5 once, many moons ago. Never again - besides, I doubt whether my back would allow it these days!

Happy to ride a bike and I am of an age where a mobility chair may become necessary in future.

Noting that the poll says "use" rather than "own". My answers to "own" would be very different.

When the time comes (if it ever does), and this is something I will postpone for as long as possible, my existing conventional pedal cycle will be replaced with an electrically assisted version.

I've been looking at foldable electric bikes so that I can get them on to trains more easily.  This would increase my day trip options to include hillier areas where I wouldn't enjoy pedaling (or pushing) my bike up some of the gradients.

Personal experience with a folding electric bike has been good - though it's heavy to lift and only folded when absolutely necessary!   I am finding the 15 m.p.h. limit frankly a bit frustrating - more in the psychology than in the extra time taken for journeys.

27 people voted (multiple votes allowed, so automatic percentages above are confusing). Delighted to see that most of us would use something - 100 x (27-7)/27 = about 75%

Sorry to read that no-one wanted to drive a C5 - Sir Clive Sinclair (who passed away recently) was so leading edge on that he was bleeding edge.   A little surprised that no-one would ride a Segway, especially having seen pictures of them hired to groups of tourists in European capitals to look around some of their larger parks and gardens.

Please forgive my questioning your statement above. The automatic percentages may be confusing but your 'simple' maths above [my highlighting] . Where does the 75% come into it - or am I missing something fundamental  ???   ???

I'm not surprised that no one voted for a Segway. The Segway was groundbreaking (probably in a more impactful way than the C5) but the only ones I've seen in the last five years or so have been those adapted for the disabled. They may be used in parks and gardens but never took off as transport in the way that most of the other options have. And they're not even made anymore. They've done their job of pioneering personal electric nonconventional transport but like so many pioneers they don't actually have a role in the world they've created.

And as for the maths, it's not impossible (unless there were some way of preventing it in the poll) that some people who voted 'none of the above' might actually have voted for one or more of the other options too!

Rode a Segway with the family years ago locally. Fun but scary for me at my age.
Then did a Segway tour around Bergen as part of a cruise tour in 2018.
A family Segway tour of downtown Vegas in 2019 (which I didn't do because I'd twisted my knee).

Not confident enough to buy my own and 'cycle' locally as would feel far too exposed to traffic.

Not impossible - but not logical either, and we I think we have a a sensible membership that's not going to randomly vote - so I tend to trust that nobody (or only a tiny minority who will not significantly damage the results) would vote for mutually exclusive options. HOWEVER ... rather just guessing as I am answering you, I crafted a custom SQL query which I ran against our database and it gave me an "empty set" when looking for voters who selected both "none of the above" and at least one or more of the above ... so didn't happen.

Indeed, not logical. Glad it didn't actually happen!
