Title: Rolling stock for sale?
Post by: stuving on September 21, 2021, 17:14:41
OK - who was down at Donnington Priory today (https://auctions.dreweatts.com/auctions/7937/drewea1-10245), debit card in their sticky hand? Lots of big models on offer, and top of the bill a really very big one:

This 10 1/4" gauge one didn't sell, so you'll no doubt get another chance - maybe by talking to Dreweatts.

Is there any generally accepted boundary between large gauge model railways, and the smaller gauge working railways ?

Or is it simply a case of was it built for pleasure and interest ?, or in the hope of making a profit by carrying goods or passengers?

15 inch and above has all the rules of a 'full size' railway AFAIK.
