Title: Poor air quality levels on some diesel trains
Post by: TaplowGreen on October 02, 2021, 08:14:26
Rather worrying - air quality on some diesel trains worse than standing by the side of the road!

"The highest level of nitrogen dioxide was on a Hitachi Class 800 train between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads".

Already well aware thanks. A lesser issue than train length/availability and facilities.

A lesser issue than train length/availability and facilities.

Not if you're prone to respiratory ailments.

Eh? Which "facilities" are more important than the quality of the air you're breathing?

Possibly the quality of the water you're drinking. But that's water, not port.

Obviously air that is seriously contaminated is a most important issue. However I am not convinced that I am exposed to any significant health risks from the air on board trains.

I'd take that over Nitrogen dioxide!  :D

Give BNM some whipped cream and you could take it over nitrous oxide...
