Title: Totnes terminators?
Post by: grahame on January 17, 2022, 05:55:45
Have I missed something in the latest timetable?  Since when were trains scheduled to terminate at Totnes?

Quote
16:36 London Paddington to Totnes due 19:43
Facilities on the 16:36 London Paddington to Totnes due 19:43.

Will be formed of 5 coaches instead of 10.

On the NRE website:
“Engineering work is taking place between Plymouth and Newton Abbot, closing some lines on Monday to Thursday evenings [this week].
As a result, a reduced train service will run between Plymouth and Newton Abbot after 19:25 each night. Some trains will not run, and replacement buses will run between Plymouth and Newton Abbot. Trains that do run will be subject to extended journey times between these stations.”
I’m guessing there is single line working in operation hence reduced capacity.

Next week, until 17 March, the line at Dawlish is closed every night Monday - Thursday, meaning no sleeper service (runs Friday & Sunday though) and the 2202 to Newton Abbot terminates at EXD.
