Title: Electric buses on Route 63
Post by: Red Squirrel on February 22, 2022, 11:27:07
I thought TfL had had battery electric buses for a while, but this YouTube video suggests that this is a new thing:

I'd like to understand why these are a viable proposition in London (and many other places), whilst elsewhere we're told that diesel hybrids and methane power are the best solution.

Yes, you're right. Quite a few routes are electric and others are hybrid. Many routes also have USB charging points on every seat back.

But is this the only route with a sun roof? I can't think of any other double decker buses that have that but lots of TFL single deckers do. But I think those have opaque glass and double up as emergency exits.
