Quote
[Penzance] station was opened by the West Cornwall Railway on 11 March 1852 as the terminus of its line from Redruth. The station itself consisted of a single platform face, and along with the rest of the West Cornwall Railway was laid as standard gauge

But today, 170 years later, it won't see a train all day due to engineering work in west Cornwall.

I think it's Camborne station (opened 1843) that takes the prize for being the oldest railway station in continuous use in Cornwall, being on the original Hayle-Redruth stretch of the WCR. Bleevit, woody?*
