Overnight weekend strikes by Tube drivers are set to take place on the Central and Victoria lines for months. The action is planned for every Friday and Saturday night between 8.30pm and 4.29am the following morning until Saturday, June 19.

Customers using either service between 7pm on Friday and 6am on Saturday are advised to check before they travel due to the disruption. One disgruntled London Underground customer shared the news on social media, with the caption, “The way TfL [Transport for London] tried to SNEAK this into the weekend travel email is NUTS.”

This is only one of three rounds of potential industrial action that has been announced by the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union. It comes in the wake of a dispute between the union and London Underground management about changes to the rota for Night Tube drivers.
