Title: SWR Stakeholder Briefing (West), 21st March 2022

Big "Thank You" to SWR for holding a "west" stakeholder briefing yesterday, and including me (and some others I 'work' with) in that.

I have lots of notes ... happy to answer questions on what was said.  Good to have the sessions, and hear of marketing and communication plans.  Very positive attitude from SWR although some  of their answers were less that positive or a confirmation of certain positions which make it very much harder to get bums back on seats.

Not sure if it's clear from the slides above, but my understanding is that the SWR management contract is a 2 year one now coming into its second year, whereas many / most others are 6 years.  Also of note as to just how tightly tied down the TOC is by the DfT, and that there's "no word" yet as to what will be running from May - though of course we can all get a darned good clue from Real Time Trains.
