Title: ....and where was Eightonedee this morning?
Post by: eightonedee on May 06, 2022, 18:30:41
I have spent part of my first week of retirement taking a short break with some of my old birding friends, somewhere in England.

This morning we were at this rail-related site  - where is it?

The old Bridgewater branch of the S&D, possibly Ham Wall or Catcott

No, but I can see how you got there!

That is exceptionally clever. I see no rail lines, no car park, no bus stop, no bicycle - must have been on foot. ;Dß

I took a look at https://www.wanderlust.co.uk/content/best-birdwatching-spots-uk/ for clues, and of those the geography looks totally wrong for six out of seven.  As a guess, I suspect you were in East Anglia.

I've never been there, but as no-one else has had a guess, maybe somewhere near Berney Arms?
