Check your journey at www.nationalrail.co.uk. There is a normal weekday service on Bank Holiday Monday, but ALL fares are off peak. I have just done a quick check and you can go to Exeter for ^6 return (2 singles at ^3), and if you have a railcard then that would be ^4! Cheap advance singles are only available online or at stations, but at this stage you would probably need to visit Plymouth Station to get the tickets in time. To the west Penzance is ^9 return, but does not need to be booked, again this would drop by one third to ^6.00 with a railcard.
