There's also a high up secretary at the DfT honoured.

I was tempted to add "for services to ironing boards and foreign train makers" but I heard the said person deliver a very perceptive speech on the railways.

There are other rail honours - this and the other thread honour Jane, Matt, Rebekah and Charlotte - all of which are part of our own regional team at GWR, and none of whom would have had any anticipation of a decoration if they reached the very top of their career path.

Jane Jones was presented with her MBE by the Princess Royal in a ceremony at Windsor Castle last month (14th June).
