Title: Plans to modernize Caerphilly Railway Station into a transport hub
Post by: johnneyw on October 14, 2022, 11:32:12
Details about the £40 million scheme are in the below link to New Civil Engineer.  I sort of hope that the plans to demolish the old ticket office building that straddles the railway are revised as I quite like it (it's apparently not been listed by CADW).

I actually thought the current interchange was pretty good between trains and buses when I visited earlier in the year.

Services through the station set for a big improvement when the new bi-mode trains and sections of electrification are completed so the sprinters and unreliable 769s can be retired from the route.
