London North-western suspended the Bedford - Bletchley service was last week replacing it with a buss until further notice, LNR says due to Vivrail going into administration this therefore means that there is no guarantee of maintenance for the trains on the route.

Anyone know if this will affect the maintenance of Island Line's Class 484s?

There's already a thread on VivaRail's administration here (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=26897.0) - can they be combined?

The current thinking is probably not.  Though it has already affected the Bedford <> Bletchley route as stated.  TfW Borderlines route introduction and GWR Greenford trials still hoping to continue, but I’m struggling to see how in the case of the Greenford service, unless someone takes the company over.

Looking at Real Time Trains there are buses shown, intermittently though, into January.  Where it's a train, it takes 41 minutes end to end.  Where it's a bus, 83 minutes.

Service to resume next month using class 150 trains (like wot they used to be).

From MKCitizen News (https://www.miltonkeynes.co.uk/news/people/trains-to-finally-run-again-on-the-troubled-bletchley-to-bedford-marston-vale-line-in-milton-keynes-4382525)

Trains to finally run again on the troubled Bletchley to Bedford Marston Vale line in Milton Keynes

There will be four return journeys a day initially, but only on weekdays
