Title: Christmas Special 1X01, 2022
Post by: JayMac on December 15, 2022, 22:45:11
Great to see that, despite the efforts of the RMTs Grynch that stole Christmas, 1X01 is booked to run as scheduled. This year the Santa Planning Team have routed the Christmas Special to start and end on the Avocet Line in Devon.

Also good to see that catering is provided. Albeit limited to milk and cookies. Nothing for the staff up front though. Couldn't the operator source any carrots?

Pretty sure the chap responsible for RTT lives in Bournemouth. I have asked him on twitter why he chose that location for the 'Naughty Kid' timing point.

....and this will be the first service to actually stop at Reading Green Park! I hope that someone will open it up to ensure that the biscuits and milk are ready.

I am surprised that Marsh Barton station has not been listed given that Reading Green Park has been.

No Portway Parkway either, which is sad for Santa because he has looking forward to a glass of port, and a rather interesting call at platform 1 at Lowestoft which - err - does not exist. But all in all, a wonderful call and adventure for the Christmas team!
