Whilst researching for our trip to Singapore/Malaysia in September/October came across this visually informative video covering the ongoing major upgrade to the line between Kluang & Johor Bahru (JB). There are older videos featuring the complete Gemas > JB route, Gemas being the current changeover point from electric to diesel (&vv) traction, sadly not using bi-mode trains. For the most part the new infrastructure overlays the colonial era route but the old line(s) is/are still in use at a few locations principally south of Kulai. Where the new alignment straightens the route the old single line trackbed is frequently visible.
