Title: Future of the 165s
Post by: GWR 158 on June 27, 2024, 12:23:56
Hi all

I was pondering about the future of 165s on the Thames Valley branches, are there any current plans for them to be replaced?

Thanks in advance

Proud of electric but still a lot of diesels. Keen to move cl 230 forward. Pretty sure other TV branches and also D&C branches.

It will be interesting to see the Class 230 manage the grade from Furze Platt to Maidenhead, in wet leaf fall season 165's struggle.

However Class 230 or something similar is the likely answer for the TV branches
