Title: Bridge strike near Kemble - 28 Oct 2008
Post by: Chris from Nailsea on October 28, 2008, 22:27:11
"The A433 between Cirencester and Tetbury in Gloucestershire had to be closed to traffic after a heavy goods vehicle hit a railway bridge.  The lorry struck the Thames Head bridge just after 1100 GMT on Tuesday.  The lorry driver was not injured, although trains were stopped while engineers assessed the damage.  A spokesman for First Great Western (FGW) Trains said the bridge was fine and trains would resume running normally."

Apparently it was struck by an Irish Articulated Lorry, not that it makes any difference  ;D
