An investigation into how a train nearly collided with a gas tanker and a man pushing a pram is focusing on ^human factors^ as the likely cause. Rail authorities are investigating reports of a train apparently breaching a red light on a crossing at Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth at around 11.10am on Tuesday last week (link below.)

A ^20m scheme would have modernised Liverpool Central, which is used by 60,000 passengers a day, and James Street stations was left out of a bid for cash to the Office of Rail Regulation by Network Rail, sparking fury (link below.)
