In the television programme Casualty. In Series 23 Episode My Last Day Part 2 there is a clip of an FGW HST set which also is only filmed from the front and the HST has had it's "First" logo removed. It is definately a HST Set.

Someone here might know the working and where it was filmed.

The clip is 2 approximately 5 second shot

Not sure where the HST was filmed but I think the crossing where the accident alledgely occured  (another fleeting shot) was on the Chinor and Princes Risborough line.

I think the same crossing  was also used to stage another accident in a recent Midsomer Murder in which Chinor Station and the Lines DMU were also used.

I thought it was ridiculous that they were trying to pass of a heritage line (clearly so) as a National Rail line in the Home Counties/NSE area! :D

But in that same episode, there was a shot of a large junction station with a FGW HST racing through (in the story, the start of the branch line). So where was that filmed? Chorely?

There have been at least 2 train accidents in Holby - Cat In Hell with the same level crossing scenario, and End of the Line with a derailment.  The second crash had a train liveried with a TT logo from vague memory.

Oh yes, and it's an awful set up - not realistic at all.

The upside down warning light arrangement and level crossing barriers from Homebase....

Not one of their bigger budget episodes I'm afraid. Nice to hear Valenta's are making a comeback though.. ;D

Needless to say I don't need much reminding about level crossings etc as I pass the Stan Martin memorial bench each day I go to work.
