why are so many services being extented to central tonight from barny and paignton?

tbh looks like the services are running from barns to central and then running same units to paignton

Because the Exmouth branch is closed all weekend, So services are terminating/starting at Exeter Central(or St James' Park).

Some nice shiny new track being put in at Lympstone Village. Thankfully it is a complete re-lay rather than merely putting new rails on the existing sleepers and ballast. The 142's dont seem to cope with the latter method of track renewal that well........ :P

The road replacement bus timetable for the Exmouth branch this weekend will be found here (http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/Documents/Custom/FGW%201556%20Exmouth_New%20Info.qxd.pdf).

Not all the works being done on the Exmouth branch at the moment are popular with the locals as this Express and Echo news item (http://www.thisisexeter.co.uk/news/Bridge-safety-work-furious-residents-blasting-bureaucracy/article-601935-detail/article.html) reports.......
