Title: Station Toilets - closure of

I was at Paignton yesterday (14/07/20907) and at 1550 on a nice sunny busy afternoon a member of the station staff LOCKED the door to the passengers toilets on platform 2.

I recognise that locking toilets to prevent abuse and misuse is one the facts of life that we have to tolerate in life today but at that time especially when the station was getting busy with day trippers returning home and two special excursions returning to London and Northampton due to depart was a bit premature IMHO.

There are numerous trains on LTV with the only onboard toilet locked out of use. And the cause? FGW cutbacks in spare parts, so they're just left locked out of use, leaving passengers to cross their legs for the entire journey.

Of course, try explaining cutbacks to a pregnant (and rather desperate) lady...
