Title: Points Failure Causes Severe Delays

Rail commuters faced a headache today as a signal failure left trains running up to an hour and a half late (link below.)

The points failure at Pengam Junction in east Cardiff just before 5am caused delays between Cardiff and Newport.

The 5am Swansea to London train arrived in Cardiff Central at 5.55am , but did not get to Newport until 7.13am.

An early morning Arriva Trains Wales service from Cardiff to Manchester was also delayed by an hour.
