Title: Nailsea served by another TOC?
Post by: JayMac on October 20, 2009, 21:36:39
This one has got me stumped:

From Nailsea's entry, under 'Transport' in Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nailsea)

Quote
Nailsea and Backwell is serviced by both local and high speed express trains, all except one are operated by First Great Western.

I know not to take Wikipidia as gospel, but is there a non FGW service that calls at NLS?

D'oh! <slaps forehead> Bignose is a muppet. Should've read on in the entry. One northbound AXC service at 0842. Note to self: Must read carefully before posting.

Well, bignosemac, I'm actually rather pleased that we no longer have a smelly Voyager cluttering up our lovely station, some mornings ...  ::) ;D

Though it was booked an HST for the final 3 months (the Aberdeen service), which was rather nice.

Phew, for a moment there I thought someone had got wind of my planned open access "Nailsea Trains" operation... I'm thinking 37425 and a rake of Cargo D blue and grey mark IIs...  ;)

Where do I sign?  ;D (Stick 1010 'Western Campaigner' up front and I'll pay double!)

I think you'll be out of luck with the TOC abbreviation 'NT' though. There's a large donkey sanctuary 'oop' north that's got that moniker already.
