British Transport Police (BTP) has released CCTV images in connection with an on-going enquiry into a robbery that occurred on-board a train on New Years Day.

Detective Constable Chris Church, investigating officer, said that a 19-year-old man was travelling on a Maidenhead to Paddington service at around 1.30am on 1 January 2010. ^A group of three men got on the train at Maidenhead station, approached the 19-year-old man and threatened to assault and stab him,^ said Det Con Church. ^One member of the group then rifled through the victim^s pockets and stole his mobile phone, as well as ^5 in cash.^
The three men then got off the train at Slough station at around 1.40 am.
Det Con Church added: ^The victim, who was in good spirits having been to a New Years Eve party that evening, was unhurt, but was understandably very shaken by the ordeal. We have conducted local enquiries into the incident and have now isolated three images of people we believe could help progress the investigation. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or recognises the men pictured in the CCTV images to contact us.^
