Title: Early morning train service boost for Devon and Cornwall business Post by: woody on March 28, 2010, 11:33:27 New early direct train for Exeter and Torbay from December 2010,though not for Plymouth and Cornwall unless you dont mind changing at Exeter/Newton abbot into a 150 or Voyager(the Voyager option already exists via BTM).Fly London City to Plymouth in 70 minutes arrive 1035 or the best part of a 4 hour journey including a dodgy change at Exeter/Newton Abbot.(No competition)Torbay is obviously now more important to FGW than Plymouth .The first sign that Air Southwest success in the far west is effecting FGWs decision making I think.

Yes, of course it is ??? Thats why Paignton gets 2 trains, and is now getting 3 trains to/from London, all of which are slow as hell. Meanwhile Plymouth has some sensible journey times.
