British Transport Police said a man aged in his early 50s and thought to be from the Oxfordshire area had died. There were no suspicious circumstances. Quote Trains disrupted after find near Bramley railway station The death of a man whose body was found near Bramley railway station this morning is not thought to be suspicious. A train driver on the Basingstoke to Reading line called the police at around 7.15am today after seeing a body by the side of the tracks near the village^s station. Officers from British Transport Police closed the line for three hours while they investigated the death. It is thought an earlier train hit the man. Jo Bird, a spokeswoman for the British Transport Police, said: ^We had a report at 7.15am this morning of a body at the side of the tracks at around three quarters of a mile from Bramley station. At first, the death was treated as unexplained but after further investigation it^s been declared as not suspicious.^ She added that a file was being prepared for the coroner. The man, who has not yet been named, is thought to have been in his early 50s and from Oxfordshire. Officers are now trying to contact his next of kin. A bus replacement service operated on the route before the line was reopened at around 10.30am.
