The TM was apparently assaulted by a member of the public, so the service was cancelled at Plymouth and to run empty to Exeter where an Exeter TM takes over. TM decided he was happy to continue to Exeter, hence the reinstatement. I hope that the TM was OK and that the book is thrown as this is not acceptable. It amazes me what passes for acceptable behaviour at times. A small group (looked 14-16 ) felt it was appropriate to swear, tear up safety leaflets, shout, generally throw things about. Well behaved as TM went through then started up again. Maybe I am just getting old!!! This just seems to be a more and more common occurance.

You can blame the TOC for many things, but when a safety-critical member of staff is assaulted on duty by one of the passengers and not fit to continue, what else do you expect them to do?
